Nursing care of patients with aggressive behavior due to substance use in the community: Case study 2 case

Abstract

     This study is a comparative study of 2 case studies to study nursing care of patients with severe aggressive behavior from substance use in the community. who received treatment at the drug fair Nong Song Hong Hospital From the emergency psychiatric patient phase (Acute care) to the continuous care phase Rehabilitation period and discharge planning by collecting information from patients, relatives, and medical records Symptom assessment, history taking, physical examination, data used to determine nursing diagnosis. nursing care plan and nursing results are continually evaluated.
     Results: A comparative study of Nursing care of patients with aggressive behavior due to substance use in the community: Case study 2 case. Received treatment at the drug fair at Nong Song Hong Hospital. The study was conducted between February 1, 2023, and November 10, 2023. In the first case study, a 41-year-old Thai man used drugs, including amphetamines, and drank alcohol. There is aggressive behavior, hearing loss, hallucinations, and violent behavior by harming oneself. Received antipsychotic treatment, mood stabilizers, and psychosocial therapy. was able to control my emotions and behavior appropriately and return to living with my family. But the results are still being followed up. The second case study is of a 45-year-old Thai man who used drugs including amphetamines, marijuana, and alcohol until he developed psychotic symptoms, including hallucinating, making a fuss, and intimidating others. Have paranoia, this results in aggressive behavior and a high risk of violence after oral antipsychotic treatment. Long-acting injections Mood stabilizers and psychosocial therapy They can control their emotions better, but they still have less control over their emotions compared to case study number 1. The discharge from the hospital for both case studies was for voluntary treatment.  still have unusual symptoms ringing in the ears, no hallucinations but still need to follow up on substance abuse treatment to prevent taking it again.
