Model of promoting waste management in Na Kham Subdistrict Kham Khuean Kaeo District Yasothon Province.

Abstract

      This study was participatory action research. The objectives are to study the waste management behavior and waste volume of the community in Na Kham Subdistrict, Kham Khuen Kaeo District and the model for strengthening waste management in Na Kham Subdistrict, Kham Khuen Kaeo District. The study period is between August 2024 and November 2024, a total of 4 months. The sample group includes representatives of community households in Na Kham Subdistrict, Kham Khuen Kaeo District, by specific, 462 people according to the inclusion criteria. Data were collected from questionnaires and waste volume recording forms. Data were analyzed by content analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Dependent t – test.
     The results of the study found that the waste management behavior in the community of household representatives in Na Kham Subdistrict, Kham Khuen Kaeo District before the implementation, overall and in each aspect, was at a high level. After the implementation, overall and in each aspect, it was at the highest level. The waste management behavior in the community of household representatives in Na Kham Subdistrict, Kham Khuen Kaeo District before and after the implementation was found to have statistically significant differences at the .05 level. The waste management behavior in the community of household representatives in Na Kham Subdistrict, Kham Khuen Kaeo District after the implementation was better than before the implementation. The results of waste management in the community of household representatives in Na Kham Subdistrict, Kham Khuen Kaeo District after the implementation showed that waste was managed more.
