Effectiveness of Family Support Programs to Promote Medication Compliance among Schizophrenia Patients in the Community of Khao Wong Hospital.

This research was quasi-experimental research with a single group. Measurement before and after the experiment (The One Groups, Pre-test, Post-test Design) to study the results before and after the experiment. To study the effectiveness of the family support program in promoting cooperation in drug treatment among schizophrenia patients in the community. Khao Wong Hospital The sample population was schizophrenia patients with uncooperative behavior in taking medication who were admitted to Khao Wong Hospital. and caregivers at home Choose specifically Between June 2024 - August 2024, The tool used to select the sample was a mental symptom assessment form. Measurement of drug use behavior according to treatment criteria the tools used to collect data include personal information records. Drug use behavior assessment form according to treatment criteria Satisfaction scale for schizophrenia patients Record of percentage of relapse symptoms and a form recording the percentage of repeat treatment Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and t-test statistics.
The results of the research found that the results of comparing the differences in the mean scores of cooperative behaviors in taking medicine. Before implementing the program and after the end of the program, using t-test statistics, it was found that the mean scores of cooperative behaviors in taking medicine before and after the program were significantly different (t = - 20.89; p =. 000) where the average score of cooperative behavior in taking medicine after the end of the program Higher than before the program was implemented (Mean = 79.33, SD =3.36). Symptoms worsened from lack of cooperation in drug treatment among schizophrenia patients after the program was implemented. There were 4 people with normal mental symptoms, accounting for 18.18 percent, and 18 people with psychotic symptoms, accounting for 81.82 percent. There were no schizophrenia patients who returned to the hospital for treatment within 28 days, accounting for 100 percent. Schizophrenia patients had a moderate level of satisfaction, 4 people, accounting for 18.18 percent, and a high level of satisfaction, 18 people, accounting for 81.82 percent.
