Proactive screening to find tuberculosis patients using Mobile X-Ray Portable Digital among at-risk people in Nong Ki District, Buriram Province.

Abstract

     This study was survey research aimed to proactively search for tuberculosis patients using a mobile digital x-ray machine in people at risk. The target group is 1,420 people. Target groups are people who come into contact with tuberculosis patients, HIV-infected people, and diabetic patients. Uncontrolled conditions include HbA1c levels ≥7 mg %, elderly people ≥ 65 years of age who smoke or have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or diabetes, substance users. Chronic alcoholics, public health personnel and screening by taking chest x-rays with a mobile digital x-ray machine between 1 October 2022 and 30 September 2023. Data were analyzed using statistics, frequency, percentage.
     Results of the study to find new tuberculosis patients. By taking chest x-rays with a digital mobile x-ray machine. Among the 176 high-risk people who had contact with tuberculosis patients, 2 new cases (1.14%) were found, 186 people were infected with HIV. Found 0 new cases (0%), patients with diseases that cause the immune system to decrease, including diabetic patients whose sugar levels cannot be controlled (HbA1C≥7 mg %), patients with chronic kidney disease or received immunosuppressive drugs, 568 cases, 3 new cases found (0.52 percent), 9 close contacts of TB patients, 5 new cases found, 55.55 percent, Elderly people aged ≥65 years who smoke or have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or diabetes mellitus: 109 cases, found 0 new cases, 0%, substance users. 25 chronic alcoholics, 1 new person found (4 percent), 296 public health personnel, 1 new person found (0.33 percent), Summary of study results From a total of 1420 cases of chest radiograph screening, 11 new cases (0.77%) were found.
