Nursing care of patient with sepsis : Comparative case study of two cases

This study was case study aimed to study the nursing of patients with sepsis: A comparative case study of 2 cases. Specifically selected cases were patients diagnosed by a doctor with sepsis who were admitted to the special ward of Somdech Phra Yuppharat Kranuan Hospital. Case study 1 was admitted from September 20 to October 3, 2024, for a total of 13 days. Case study 2 was admitted to the hospital from September 24 to October 1, 2024, for a total of 8 days.
The results of the study found that both patients had different predisposing causes of sepsis, as follows:
Case study 1 had septic shock after 6 hours of admission, received Meropenem antibiotics and Norepinephrine for 3 days. Organ failure during treatment, namely cardiovascular and renal systems, and the patient was anemic, received blood transfusion, and had hyperkalemia, which was corrected until the patient returned to balance. The patient was safe and discharged home. In summary, the patient was admitted from September 20 to October 3, 2024, for a total of 13 days.
Case study 2 had septic shock, received Norepinephrine for 1 day, received Meropenem antibiotics, and had organ failure during treatment, namely cardiovascular and renal systems. In summary, the patient was admitted to the hospital from September 24, 2024 to October 1, 2024, for a total of 8 days.
