Nursing care for a laparoscopic cholecystectomy patient with heart disease under general anesthesia: case study.

This study is a case study. The objective was to study nursing care for a laparoscopic cholecystectomy patient with heart disease under general anesthesia. This study involved a 63-year-old male patient who presented with right chest tightness and epigastric discomfort, when it occurs 30 minutes before arriving at the hospital. He had a history of acute myocardial infarction and had undergone Coronary artery bypass graft and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention 7 years ago and was taking antiplatelet drugs regularly.
The study revealed that after admission, she experienced right-sided abdominal pain, vomiting, and fever. An abdominal ultrasound revealed gallstones, cholecystitis, and necrosis. Surgery was planned, but the patient had a prolonged blood clotting period. Treatment improved the clotting period, and a video-guided gallbladder resection was performed under general anesthesia. Key nursing care included administering antibiotics, intravenous fluids, and plasma as planned; selecting the appropriate type and dose of anesthesia; assessing vital signs to monitor and prevent insufficient circulation, acidosis, gas embolism, blood loss from the surgically treated organ, adjacent organs, and complications from anesthesia; and preparing equipment, medications, fluids, and blood in case of a crisis. All problems were resolved after treatment, and the patient was safe from anesthesia.
