Abstract

This Research and Development aimed to Developed working model of Surveillance,
prevention and control of dengue fever in Muang Chan District Sisaket Province and
compare the results before and after the implementation of the developed model to be
conducted in Muang Chan District Sisaket Province during 1 October 2019 to 30 September
2020. The samples were 1) Muang Chan District Board (DHB) , 21 People. 2) Emergency
Operation Center Committee (EOC) and Surveillance rapid and respond Team (SRRT), 10
People. 3) Village leader, 52 People. 4) Village health Volunteer, 52 People. Total of 135
people. Descriptive statistics, Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test, at
alpha 0.05 were used for data analysis.
The results revealed that after the new working model implementation, 1) the
morbidity rate of dengue fever decreased. 2) The Mean of Aedes aegypti Risk index was
significantly decreased (P<0.05). 3) Have Working model village for dengue control at district
level. 4) The effectiveness of Dengue hemorrhagic fever control passed the standard. 5) To
be a working model for scaling up to the provincial level. The key success factors were: 1)
Stakeholders Become involved in the implementation of all the activity. 2) Resources were
shared and in all levels. 3) The Information system were used for Surveillance.4) the
collaboration and unity of team work. 5) Integration of missions and driven by the District
Health Board ( DHB) . These conclude that the new working model developed by the
researcher better than the original. They are due to good methods and techniques in model
development that were 4 steps; the analysis of the original model, the initial model
development, the model implementation, and the conclusion of the new model
development. These activities lead to clear working systems, practical model, well prepare
before start working, good method of model implementation by the participation of
concerning persons from the beginning. Suggesting continuous development and covering all
related factors It should also be applied and extended to continuous and sustainable
development, which will lead to greater benefits for patients, families, communities, and the
nation, both in the short and long term.
