DEVELOPING MODEL FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM OF ROAD TRAFFIC INJURY WITH PARTICIPATION BAN PHUE DISTRICT, UDON THANI PROVINCE

This study aims to develop a model to tackle road accident deaths in an engaging way of Ban
Phue district, Udon Thani province. This was an Action Research between October - December 2021.
The population study was 164 of network prevention and reduction of road accidents (NRA) in Ban
Phue District. Tools used: structured forms, group discussion questions and questionnaires. Using
statistics, percentage, mean, standard deviation.
The results found that Phase 1 a policy management plan operates under strategy “5 Sor 5
Pillars”. Project 20 prototype sub-districts to prevent and reduce road accidents with systematic management, in accordance with the role of NRA Ban Phue District, by driving the network's
participatory operations. Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at 5 locations and announced
5 organizational measures. Phase 2 the process found that new more explicit approach had developed
by using the PAOR four-step namely: Planning, Action, Observation and Reflection brought to improve
the format to continue the cycle. Targets were identified and risk areas were addressed immediately,
82% and risks were communicated by setting up group lines, comment boxes, and rehearsing plans
twice a year. Overall, the network at high level of road safety awareness ( = 3.58,SD= 0.91). Phase 3
the participation in all aspects of the network's overall road accident problem resolution was high (
= 4.29,SD= 0.70), effected of operations after development number of accidents The number of
injuries and fatalities fell past the target threshold.
