This study was action research aimed at investigating the potential of village health volunteers in promoting health behaviors among patients with chronic diseases and enhancing the capacity of village health volunteers in promoting health behaviors among patients with chronic diseases at Ban Dong Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital, Phang Khon District, Sakon Nakhon Province. The research was conducted from October 2025 to December 2025, a total of 3 months. The sample consisted of 55 representatives from each of the 11 villages in Ban Dong Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital, Phang Khon District, Sakon Nakhon Province, selected using purposive selection criteria. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using content analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and dependent t-test.
The study results showed that, after the intervention, the overall and individual capabilities of village health volunteers in promoting health behaviors among chronic disease patients at Ban Dong Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital, Phang Khon District, Sakon Nakhon Province, were at the highest level. Furthermore, there was a statistically significant difference at the 0.05 level between the potential of village health volunteers in promoting health behaviors among chronic disease patients at Ban Dong Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital, Phang Khon District, Sakon Nakhon Province, before and after the intervention. The potential of village health volunteers in promoting health behaviors among chronic disease patients at Ban Dong Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital, Phang Khon District, Sakon Nakhon Province, after the intervention was significantly better than before the intervention.
