Abstract

Thai woman, Thai nationality, age 23 years (G 1 P 0 A 0 L 0), gestational age 38+5
weeks by ultrasound , antenatal care at Somdej Phra Yuparat Sa Kaeo Hospital. Sa Kaeo
Province , 5 times at 28 weeks ' gestation, pregnant women Diabetes for 2 years but without
continued treatment. Urine sugar + 4 OGTT results in plasma glucose values. 203 mg/dl
before glucose 1 hour 108 mg/dl after glucose 210 mg/dl 2 hours with obesity (Weight 105
kg.) Doctor treated by eating in the beginning. but unable to control food and blood sugar
levels The doctor therefore considered giving insulin injected under the skin once a day before breakfast. Received in the hospital on April 5, 2022 at 7:50 p.m., giving a history that
50 minutes before coming to the hospital. having pregnancy with walking water Preliminary
diagnosis, Labor pain with Overt DM with Obesity, therefore accepted for hospitalization.
Infant was assisted delivery by vacuum extraction, female, healthy, Apgar scores 1 and 5
minutes, 9 and 9 points. Weight 2,850 g. The health status of the newborn was assessed
without any abnormalities. and has made a plan for nursing according to the nursing process.
From the study of patients, it was found that continuous follow-up assessment of
problems and needs throughout the care This makes it possible to plan for the care and
assistance of the mother after childbirth and the baby in accordance with the needs in its
entirety.
