Nursing care for a woman with ectopic pregnancy and shock : A case study.

This case study aimed to compare nursing care for two women with ectopic pregnancy and shock. A case study of two women with ectopic pregnancies who received treatment at Kalasin Hospital during 2023-2024. The study was based on medical records, patient information, and hospital charts, using 7 major aspects of care for ectopic pregnancy to establish nursing diagnoses and address health problems through the 5-step nursing process, from admission to discharge, as a standard for providing patient care.
Study results: Both patients were diagnosed by doctors with ruptured ectopic pregnancy. After surgery, the first patient was diagnosed with exploratory laparotomy with right salpingectomy, while the second patient was diagnosed with left salpingo-oophorectomy with ruptured left ovarian cyst. They received treatment and nursing care using the 5-step nursing process. The patients’ conditions gradually improved, and no complications were observed.
