The Effect of Using a Program to Surgical Site Infection Prevention Among Registered Nurses Phang Khon Hospital.

The quasi - experimental research (One group pretest - posttest design) aims to study The effects of a Programs prevention infection surgical site among registered nurses Phang Khon Hospital. The samples were 9 nurses caring for patient operations that passed the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The tool used in the experiment was a program to prevention infection surgical site among registered nurses that applied concepts based on the pre-seed-proceed model. Data were collected using a knowledge questionnaire about prevention infection surgical site and practice to prevention infection surgical site. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Paired-t-test, Fisher’s exact Test.
The findings showed that after the experiment, the sample group had knowledge about prevention infection surgical site and practice to prevention infection surgical site was significantly higher than before using the program (p<.001).
