Abstract

This action research aimed to evaluation of active screening for tuberculosis patients using a mobile chest X-ray in high-risk populations Phrayuen Hospital, Khon Kaen Province. Between September and November 2025, the sample group included 83 network personnel and 137 household contacts. Research instruments was a questionnaire. Analysis was using percentage, mean, standard deviation, Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Paired t-test.

Results: A new screening model developed by community network participation was promoted to encourage people suspected of having tuberculosis to seek screening services at their nearest hospital and providing knowledge to groups of people in contact with each other in the household by using program to promote participation in screening for tuberculosis. After network development, knowledge scores increased significantly (p-value <0.001). Overall pulmonary tuberculosis screening was significantly increased (p<0.001). After development, tuberculosis contacts had a statistically significant increase in overall knowledge scores about the pulmonary tuberculosis screening system (p<0.001). Overall tuberculosis prevention behaviors significantly increased (p< 0.001). Results of tuberculosis screening in high-risk groups using Chest X-Ray found that 100.0% of the high-risk groups were screened and no contacts with tuberculosis were found.
