The purposes of this research were to study the efficiency guidebook of planting cultivated banana
to usage and conservation, to study the effectiveness index guidebook of planting cultivated banana to
usage and conservation, to study and compare knowledge and opinion to planting cultivated banana to
usage and conservation for students of environmental education, Mahasarakam university before and
after the promotion. The sample group for this research was 30 students of environmental education ,
faculty of environmental and resource studies, MahaSarakam University, being selected by volunteery
sampling. The instruments used in this research were guidebook, brochure, knowledge questionnaire and
opinion measures. The statistics used to data analysis were effectiveness index (E.I), frequency,
percentage, mean, standard deviation and statistical comparison of paired t-test.
The result showed that the efficiency of guidebook at 83.00/87.16, E.I = 0.6992. Found that the
students had progressively knowledge mean at 69.92, before the promotion, the students’ knowledge was
at good level ( = 11.46), after the promotion, the students’ knowledge was at very good level (
=
17.43), before the promotion, the students’ opinion was at agree level ( = 2.69) after the promotion, the
students’ opinion was at agree level ( = 2.85). When compared an average score before and after the
promotion, the result showed that after the promotion, the students had knowledge more than before
the promotion was statistically significant at .05. It showed that the promotion of using guidebook of
planting cultivated banana to usage and conservation for undergraduate students environmental
education programs, Mahasarakam university resulted knowledge and opinion of the undergraduate
students increased.
