The promotion of Aloe vera (L.) Burm.f. planting for use in BanVungjanNonsumran School, Nakha Sub-district, Wapipathum District, MahaSarakham Province

Abstract

This research aimed to study and compare knowledge, attitudes before and after the promotion of
Aloe vera (L.) Burm.f. planting for use in school. The sample groups were 30 students in primary school
grade 4-6 of Ban Vungjan Nonsumran School, selected by the use of purposive sampling technique. The
instruments used to collected data include, handbook instruction, the achievement and attitude test. The
statistics used for data were analyzed by a percentage, a mean, a standard deviation and for testing
hypotheses the paired t – test. The results showed the students had the average score of overall
knowledge before the promotion in the moderate level and the average score of overall knowledge after
the promotion in the hight level. When compare the average scores before and after the promotion, the
students had the average score of knowledge after the promotion higher than before with the level of
statistical significance (p < .05). Before the promotion, the students have the average score of overall
attitude in moderate level. When compared the average scores of attitude before and after the promoting
the students had a better average score of attitude with the level of statistical significance (p < .05)
