Health Literacy Factors to Alcohol Beverage Drinking Behavior of Students in Public Health Faculty Kalasin University

This study Cross-sectional analytical study aimed to study health knowledge about
alcohol and binge drinking behavior among students. Faculty of public Health a total of 186
people from the total of 357 people were sampled using the questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, maximum,
minimum, chi-square test and Pearson’s correlation.
Results : The study indicated that Most of the students are female 78.8 percent mainly
studying 4 year, 29.0 percent were aged between 21-23 years old accounted for 57.5 percent
grade average of at least 3.00, representing 80.1 percent of the students are earning. 5,000
baht per month, representing a 21.9 percent majority will stay off-campus dorm. 84.0
percent more to stay alone. 56.1 percent of the most knowledgeable in the high level. And
94.1 percent of the students are behaving well. 65.6 percent of the factors that were
associated with drinking behavior of students is gender-year-old studied history and alcohol
consumption. The behavior was not associated with alcohol drinking is the grade point
average income residential occupancy and knowledge.
