This study is a cross-sectional analytical study Diabetes Mellitus patients. A total of 102
samples from. Non Si Sawat Health Promoting Hospital were selected by simple random follow
inclusion criteria. The data were collected by questionnaires. The reliability of the questionnaire
Knowledge validity was 0.88 Attitude of 0.70 and complication preventive behaviors in Type 2
Diabetes Mellitus patients was 0.70. Descriptive statistic, frequency, percentage, mean, Standard
maximum and minimum values, were calculated. to descried all of data. To analyze the
association of the factors and complication preventive behaviors the inferential statistic were
analyzed by Chi-square test and Person’s Product-moment Correlation.
Results : The results showed the that most of the samples were female (67.6%) with mean
age of 60.73 years (S.D.= 9.31, Min = 42, Max =95) Knowledge was high level (Mean 13.725,S.D.=
0.470) (with percentage of 100%) Attitude was high level (Mean=40.88, S.D.= 2.91) (with percentage
of 77.5%) The preventive behavior from complication of Type 2 DM was high level (Mean=102.06,
S.D.= 3.22) (with percentage of 99.0%) The factor that related to Preventive Behavior was
associated with Preventive Behavior was found that attitude (r=0.290 ; p–value = 0.003) statistically
Significant (p–value = 0.05).
