Association of knowledge, perceptions and attitudes and preventing unwanted pregnancies among.students junior High school in Namon district, Kalasin Province

This Cross-sectional analytical study was conducfed 257 students in Namon District, include
Mo Suan King Pittayasan School and Namon Pittayakhom School. Determine the size of the
sample with Stratified sampling. Data were collected using the questionnaire and analyzed
using descriptive statistics. with frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and minimum - maximum value. Chi square test, Odd Ratio (OR), and 95% confidence intervals
were use to analyzed the association. with statistically significant at 0.05.
Results: Most of them were male (56.4%). The average age of 14 years (S.D. = 0.841
minimum = 12 years maximum = 16 years). Most values are preserved until they are married
(61.5%). Factors associated with preventing unwanted pregnancies. Were sex (OR = .390; 95%
CI = .233-.654, p-value <0.001, Sexual values (OR = 0.423; 95% CI = 0.249-0.716 p-value =
0.001), Prevention of unwanted pregnancy (OR = 3,001; 95% CI = 1.323-6.810, p-value =
0.006), and attitude toward preventing unwanted pregnancies (OR = 4.898; 95% CI = 2.728-
8.796, p-value < 0.001). There was a statistically significant relationship at .05 level.
