Effect of District Health Board (DHB) support for smoking cessation in Non-Communicable diseases Patients Ban Hong Health Service Network, Lamphun Province

Objective: To study effect of District Health Board (DHB) support for smoking cessation
in Non-Communicable diseases Patients.
Methodology: Research Methodology Quasi-experimental research one group,
measured before and after the experiment. To study effect of District Health Board (DHB)
support for smoking cessation in Non-Communicable diseases patients of volunteer to join
the project. In the area of responsibility of the Ban Hong Health Service Network. Study
conducted between October 2017 to May 2018. Evaluation of 1) the number of cigarettes
smoked and 2) the nicotine value.
Results : Chronic non-communicable disease patients and 65 participants have quitting
smoking. Comparison of nicotine intake before and after smoking. There were statistically
significant differences (P-value <0.05). And the results of the comparison of the number of
cigarettes before and after smoking. There were statistically significant differences (P-value
<0.05).
Conclusion : Support in District Health Board (DHB) effects for smoking cessation in
Chronic non-communicable disease patients. This was demonstrated by the fact that all noncommunicable
patients had a lower nicotine value and the number of cigarettes decreased
after research.
