The effective of an integrated model of care and enhance mental health by Community networks. Nongchik district, Pattani Province

Abstract

This study is a Participatory Action Research (PAR) for studying of the integrated
model of care and enhance mental health by community networks in Nong Chik District,
Pattani Province. By using of the Appreciation Influence Control process (AIC). The sample
consisted of 200 people, divided into 2 groups which are 1) 29 people of mental health
networks in the public and public sectors and 2) 171 people in the community, consisting of
50 children and youths in schools affected by the unrest situation in the southern border
provinces, 35 people with disabilities and caregivers, 31 psychiatric patients and carers, 40
elderly people with chronic illnesses and 15 families affected by the unrest situation in the
southern border provinces. The families selected the sample group by specifying and
voluntarily participating in the research. By using the A-I-C engagement process consisting of
3 steps: 1) Steps for creating knowledge (Appreciation: A) 2) Steps for creating an Influence
(Influence: I) and 3) Steps for data were collected using a questionnaire that the researcher
created (Control: C). By measuring knowledge, care and strengthening mental health (beforeafter),
the level of community participation and the satisfaction level in the integrated model
of care and enhance mental health use statistics to analyze data, including Amount and
percentage
The results of the research found that the integrated model of care and strengthening
of mental health by community networks in Nong Chik District, Pattani Province After gaining
knowledge, the sample (Average at 28.41 percent) have more knowledge about care to
enhance mental health and community participation in the implementation of care and
strengthening of mental health High level (96.99%), and satisfied with the participation in the
care and enhance mental health High level (95.41 percent) In summary, the model of integration of care and strengthening of mental health by
community networks in Nong Chik District, Pattani Province. Resulting in the development
system to change Create a network of care and strengthen the mental health of the
community Create the local knowledge media (innovation) that corresponds to the area
Therefore, the model obtained from this research should be applied to the community and
other similar samples.
