The role of advanced nursing practitioners in case management. : A case study of an unwanted pregnant woman with drug and psychiatric problems

This article is to present experience to caring unwanted pregnancy who use substance abuse
and have psychotic symptom. This case don’t have direct relatives care. She has a woman
headman who collaborate and main caregiver. Limitation of main caregiver can’t care always and
can’t decision all of operation also wrong of legal. The context of hospital that takes care this case
pregnancy are community hospital about 60 beds, don’t have specialist of Obstetrics and
Gynecology and Psychiatry to care. That refer to Psychiatric hospital are limitation of Obstetrics
problem then refer to obstetrician and psychiatrist are limitation of main care giver to continuum
treat. The purpose of this article is to present format case management who have complex problem in community hospital. That have limitation of potential to caring total and holistic by
expert and network associates, leads to other department are the same context. Apply to use
adaptation and develop in the future. Result of integration to caring unwanted pregnancy who use
substance abuse and have psychotic symptom are continuing care at community hospital, network
associates are concerned to caring planning detaining and system management.
