The Effects of a Health Literacy Lifestyle Program for People with Metabolic Syndrome at Khok Phra Chedi Subdistrict Nakhon Chai Si District Nakhon Pathom Province

The Research and Development (R&D) studied aimed to study the effects of a health literacy lifestyle program for people with metabolic syndrome at Khok Phra Chedi Subdistrict Nakhon Chai Si District Nakhon Pathom Province. The sample of 30 people with metabolic syndrome. Research tools included personal information form, life style assessment form, Health and Behavioral Literacy Assessment, and Health Literacy Lifestyle Program for People with Metabolic Syndrome developed from the concept of health literacy.
Results: A study of the effects of a health literacy lifestyle program for people with metabolic syndrome found that the sample had a comparison the mean scores of the health literacy components before and after participating in the program in all aspects were significantly different (p-value < 0 .0 5 ). The health behaviors in all aspects except exercise behaviors were statistically significant difference (p-value <0.05).
