Waiting time study of fax claim and software electronic data interchange (EDI) for reimbursement patient cost of care in Bangpakok 9 international hospital with insurance company

บทคัดย่อ

Electronic medical record (EMR) is standard for hospital information system for reimbursement cost of care with private insurance company. However hospital do “Fax claim” process which all needed paper document will be sent by fax machine to private insurance company. The waiting time of the insurance company reply the result of reimbursement sometimes delay discharge time of the patients. To reimbursement using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) between hospital and private insurance company decrease replied waiting time compare to “Fax claim” and improve discharge time of the patients.
