Health literacy associated with Denque Hemorrhagic Fever Preventing and Controlling Behavior among Village health volunteers in Prasat District, Surin Province.

This descriptive research aimed to study health literacy factors asso- ciated with denque hemorrhagic fever preventing and controlling behavi- or among village health volunteers. Population in this study consisted of 2 18 village health volunteers in Prasattanong Sub-district and Tungmon Su- b-district, Prasat District, Surin Province. The sample aize calculatimg ised Deniel formula for 116 cases, amd systematic random sampling was deter- mined for collecting data. Data collected by questionnaire standardization, validity was checked by 3 experts and try out testing reliability by Cronba- ch’s coefficient alpha about 0.932. Data analysed using statistical as Pears- on product moment correlation coefficient. The result showed that health literacy factors including; cognition and understanding, access to health information ang health services, communication for expertise expanding, media literacy and decision for right implementation, and safety self-man- agement, respectively. Health literacy factors had mean score with high le- vel (96.55%). Behavior of dengue hemorrhagic fever preventing and contr- olling had mean score with high level (94.83%). An association analyzed found that, health literacy factors was associated with denque hemorrhag- ic fever preventing and controlling behavior among village health volunte- ers in Prasat District, Surin Province, with statistic significant (r=0.862, P-value<0.001).
