The effect of using The Chiang Saen triage Score program to the accuracy for patient triage at Emergency department Chiang Saen Hospital

This quasi experimental research aimed to study the effectiveness of Program Chiangsaen Triage Score. Population in this study consisted of 30 Registered nurse and public health officer (Emergency medicine) related to triage of patients in Chiang Saen hospital. This program Chiang Saen triage Score composed of 3 activities and assessment with in 3 months. The instrument used for data collection by questionnaire and data analyzed to test research hypothesis by Independent t-test. The result showed that knowledge of patient triage had average score increasing with statistic significant (P-value=0.009), comparison the accuracy for patient triage had average score increasing, before (57.8%) and after (85.0%). The experiment group was incorrect patient triage had average score decreasing, before (42.2%) and after (14.1%). The analyzed of patient triage score was different with statistic significant (P-value<0.001), score of under triage was decreased from before (22.40%) to after (10.7%) and over triage was decreased from before (34.81%) to after (3.91%), respectively.
