Factors associated with health behaviors of patients with non-complicated diabetes mellitus in the service area of Khao Lak Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital Takua Pa District Phang Nga Province

          Descriptive research aimed to study the relationship between health literacy and health behaviors among patients with uncomplicated diabetes mellitus. The population consisted of 318 patients with uncomplicated diabetes mellitus within the service area of
​​Khuk Khak Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital, Takua Pa District, Phang Nga Province. Using Daniel's formula for calculating the exact population size, a sample of 183 patients, and systematic sampling method was used. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire consisting of three parts: personal characteristics of patients, health literacy, and health behaviors of diabetic patients without complications. Content validity was checked by three experts, and the reliability was analyzed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, which was 0.901, an association analysis used Pearson product moment correlation coefficient. The resulted found that The health literacy score of diabetic patients without complications was at a moderate level (78.10%) (=3.54, S.D.=0.440), The health behaviors of diabetic patients without complications were also at a moderate level (83.60%) (=2.87, S.D.=0.618), respectively. An association found that health literacy had a statistically significant negative correlation with health behaviors among uncomplicated diabetic patients in the service area of ​​Khuk Khak Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital, Takua Pa District, Phang Nga Province
