Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study results and comparison of the effects of Z-shaped running training on the agility within the group before and after training of male futsal athletes, Kalasin Pittayasan School, Kalasin Province. The sample group consisted of 15 male futsal athletes, Kalasin Pittayasan School, Kalasin Province, aged between 16-18 years using purposive sampling. Time spent of this research was 4 weeks, 1 hour per day and 3 days per week. Those were Monday, Wednesday, and Friday which time 4.30-5.30 p.m. Tool used in research was Z-shaped running training program. Statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, and comparison within the sample before and after training using pair sample t-test. The research results were as follows; 1) Mean and standard deviation of the agility of the sample group found that before the Z-shaped running training had a mean of 17.57 and the standard deviation was 1.73 while after Z-shaped running training, the mean was 15.98 and the standard deviation was 1.33, respectively. 2) Result of comparing the differences in agility mean using the Agility Run Test within the sample group between before training and after training found that there was a statistically significant difference at the 0.05 level. In conclusion, after practicing the Z-shaped running training program, athletes have better agility ability.
