A Comparison of Complex Agility Training on Movement Time among Male Volleyball Players in Thailand National Sports University Sukhothai Campus

Abstract

The purpose of this study aimed to compare the results between agility training and complex agility training on movement time among male volleyball players in Thailand national sports university Sukhothai Campus. The sample was twenty-four male volleyball players in Thailand national sports university Sukhothai Campus, aged 19 - 25 years,
experienced 8.12 ± 2.13 years, height 176.75 ± 2.93 cm., assigned to control group (n=12) and experimental group (n=12). The control group received agility training while the experimental group received complex agility training with ankle weight. They were trained for 3 days a week for 6 weeks consecutively. It was found that the movement time of control and experimental groups were decreased (p<0.01). In contrast, leg strength was increased in experimental group only (p<0.05)
