THE EFFECTS OF BOX JUMP TRAINING ON LEG MUSCLE POWER IN FEMALE VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS AT RAJABHAT MAHASARAKHAM UNIVERSITY
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effects of a box jump training program on the leg muscle power of female volleyball athletes. The sample consisted of 12 female volleyball players aged 18 to 22 years who participated in a four-week training program, with sessions held twice per week. The training program, designed by the researchers, served as the primary intervention. Leg muscle power was assessed using the standing long jump and vertical jump tests, with data collected before and after the training period. Statistical analyses included mean, standard deviation, and a paired t-test. The results indicated a statistically significant improvement (p < 0.05) in both long jump and vertical jump performance following the training. In conclusion, the Box Jump Training program effectively enhances leg muscle power and is recommended for use in training university-level and competitive volleyball athletes.
