Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study effects and compare the effect of RememnoPT training on body mass index in the overweight group. The sample was 10 overweight individuals selected by a specific method. The samples were divided into 2 groups of 5 students each. The first group was the RememnoPT training group and the second group was the control group. The training was conducted for 4 weeks, 5 days per week, from Monday to Friday, 60 minutes per day during 6.00-7.00 PM. Data were collected before and after the experiment with BMI measurements. The data were analysed by using mean, standard deviation, independent sample t-test, and pair       t-test which were determined at statistical significance at the .05 level.

The results showed that 1) before and after the training within the experimental group had a lower body mass index while before and after training within the control group had no lower body mass index. 2) After training, the BMI of experimental group was better than the control group. There was a statistically significant difference at the .05 level. It was concluded that after training the RememnoPT program could reduce BMI.
