Effectiveness of the Health Education Program on Hypertension among Priority Group in Ban Maekhamtalad, Maekham Sub-District, Meachan District, Chiang Rai Province.

Abstract

            This quasi-experimental research aimed to compare the knowledge before and after using health  education program on hypertension among priority  group in  Ban  Maekhamtalad,  Maekham  Sub-District,  Meachan District,  Chiang  Rai  Province.  The  24  samples  were  priority  group  by screening.   The   health   education   program   was   offered   in   4 -  week sessions. Pre-test  and  post-test  questionnaire for knowledge  assessment. frequency ,   percentage ,   mean ,  standard  deviation  and  Paired  t - test (α  = 0.05)   were  statistical  data  analysis.   The  results   showed  that  the knowledge  of   hypertension   disease  after  using   the  health  education program (pose-test)  was  significantly  higher  than  before  receiving  the health education program (p-value < 0.001).
