Health Literacy and Preventive Behaviors on the Coronavirus Disease 2019 of Elderly in Sansai Sub-district, Muang District, Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

         The purpose of research was to study Health Literacy and Preventive Behaviors on the Coronavirus  Disease  2019 of Elderly.  Samples were 340 older people who lived in  Sansai Sub-district,  Muang District,  Chiang Rai Province.  The research instrument was the questioner covering  personal information, health literacy and Preventive Behaviors on the Coronavirus Disease  2019.   Data  were  analyzed  using    frequency,   percentage   and Chi-square   statistic.    The   results   found   that   the   health   literacy  of  elderly  was   at  low  level   (67.1%) .   The  Preventive    Behaviors  on  the  Coronavirus  Disease 2019 were at high level (53.8%).  The  health  literacy had   significantly   relationship   with  the  Preventive   Behaviors  on  the Coronavirus  Disease  2019  (p < 0.001).
