Factor associated with mental health behavior among Diabetes Mellitus patients in Bana Sub-district Health Promoting Hospital, Mueang District, Pattani Province.

Abstract
This descriptive research aimed to study factor was associated with mental health behavior among Diabetes Mellitus patients in Bana Sub-district Health Promoting Hospital, Mueang District, Pattani Province. Population was 309 Diabetes Mellitus patients which listed their name from PCU program recording whose received health care at Bana Sub-district Health Promoting Hospital. Sample size used Daniel's sample size calculation formula about 188 cases from a systematic sampling method. The instrument used in collecting data is an interview form created by the researcher consisting of 6 parts, namely: personal information, health literacy, receiving social support, mental health promotion behaviors, depression and suicidal tendency screening questionnaire (2Q Plus), and stress assessment form (ST5). The interview form passed content validity examination from 3 experts and was brought to try out to analyze the reliability value using Cronbach's alpha coefficient formula equal to 0.959. Data was analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient statistics at a confidence level of 0.05. The research results found that the level of mental health behaviors of diabetic patients is at a high level (87.23%) (X=2.87, S.D.=0.335). The relationship analysis results found that health literacy mental health promotion behaviors of diabetic patients in the area of Bana Sub-district Health Promoting Hospital, Mueang District, Pattani Province statistically significantly (r=0.198, P-value<0.006).
