Learning Style among Nursing Students of Phrapokklao Nursing College, Chanthaburi

Abstract

A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted to investigate the learning styles of nursing students at Phrapokklao Nursing College, Chanthaburi. The study included 459 nursing students during the 2020 academic year. A questionnaire on learning styles was used as the research tool, which demonstrated a reliability coefficient of 0.83. Data was collected   from March 30th to April 1st, 2020, and was analyzed using frequency and percentage.    

The research results show that the most common learning style among nursing students is collaborative learning, accounting for 38.56%. First, second, and third-year students also predominantly use a collaborative learning style (41.7%, 42.1%, and 33.1%, respectively). As a result, it is recommended that the faculty at Phrapokklao Nursing College, Chanthaburi, should design the nursing curriculum to align with the students' learning styles in order to enhance student engagement in the learning process.
