The Effectiveness of Geriatric Nursing Practice among Nursing Students

This research is qualitative research. The objectives are 1) to study attitudes towards the elderly. in the community of nursing students. 2) To study nursing students' skills in caring for the elderly in the community. 3) To study the satisfaction of the elderly receiving care from nursing students. The sample population is nursing students. Science, Year 3, Room B, 75 people and seniors Under the care of 75 third-year nursing students, Room B. Using a questionnaire Satisfaction of the elderly with the cared of nursing students practicing the geriatrics course. Questionnaire: Attitudes towards the geriatric nursing practice course towards the elderly and on caring for the elderly and a questionnaire asking nursing students about skills in caring for the elderly in the community. The instrument used in the research was a test. Questions were asked on a 5-level scale. To find the quality of the tool, select only questions with an IOC value of 0.50 - 1.00 or higher and have a confidence value of 0.7 or higher and then be used.
The researcher collects data and analyzes it. Self-data The research results were found: 1. To study the attitude of nursing students towards practical subjects. Elderly nursing and caring for the elderly in the community Overall, it was at a high level ( =4.39, S.D. =0.49) 2. To study the nursing students' skills in caring for the elderly in the community in the picture. included at the highest level ( =4.50, S.D. =0.53 ) 3. To study the satisfaction of the elderly who received Care from nursing students Overall, it is at the highest level. ( = 4.69, S.D. =0.42)
