THE DEVELOPMENT OF AGILITY AND SPEED IN FOOTBALL USING DAVIES' PRACTICAL SKILLS TEACHING MODEL COMBINED WITH INTEGRATED TRAINING OF GRADE 6 STUDENTS

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) compare the agility in football after using Davies' practical skills teaching model combined with integrated training of Grade 6 students against the 70% criterion; 2) compare the speed in football after using Davies' practical skills teaching model combined with integrated training of Grade 6 students against the 70% criterion; and 3) study the satisfaction of Grade 6 students toward Davies' practical skills teaching model combined with integrated training. The sample consisted of 10 Grade 6 students at Wat Kuti (Chum Pracha Rangsarn) School, under the Office of Phetchaburi Primary Educational Service Area 1, Semester 2, Academic Year 2025, obtained by cluster sampling. A Pre-Experimental Design using The One Group Posttest Only Design was employed for 10 weeks, totaling 10 hours. Research instruments included 10 lesson plans, a Zig-Zag Run test, a 50-meter sprint test, and a satisfaction questionnaire. Statistics used were mean, standard deviation, and One Sample t-test. Results revealed that: 1) students' post-training agility score averaged 8.30 (83.00%), significantly higher than the 70% criterion at the .05 level; 2) students' post-training speed score averaged 8.80 (88.00%), significantly higher than the 70% criterion at the .05 level; and 3) students' overall satisfaction was at the high level (ð‘ĨĖ… = 4.32, S.D. = 0.37).
