Abstract

Due to the severe outbreak of COVID-19, changes in the healthcare system are inevitable. To prevent the spread of infection within the hospital and to maintain sufficient resources, materials and personnel, it is necessary to reduce non-urgent surgeries. However, there are still a number of patients who need to undergo emergency surgeries. Therefore, it is very important to organize the relevant systems using the least resources to ensure that the procedures can be performed without interruption. This article presents the issues to consider regarding surgical procedures in patients and the practices that have been collected from real areas with severe outbreaks, both in terms of system organization and medical personnel.
