Factors related to the nutritional status of children in child development centers in the area of responsibility of Bang Khan Hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province

Abstract

This study was a cross-sectional study in which data collection of the Child Development Center in the area of responsibility of Bang Khan Hospital Nakhon Si Thammarat Province By collecting data during the period between May - June 2024. The sample were parents who took care of children for at least 6 months in the child care center in their area of responsibility. In Bang Khan Hospital, Bang Khan District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, there were 72 people. The instrument was a questionnaire. consists of Part 1: Personal information, Part 2: Knowledge of the caregiver, Part 3: Attitude of the caregiver, Part 4: Behavior of the caregiver regarding nutrition care in children. The statistics were are Frequency distribution, mean, percentage and standard deviation, and multiple linear regression statistics.

The results found that the level of knowledge of parents taking care of children regarding the nutritional status of their children was high at 81.9%. The level of attitude of caregivers regarding nutritional status was a good attitude at 77.8%. The level of practice regarding nutritional care for children by caregivers regarding nutritional status was the most of them had a moderate level of practice regarding nutritional care for children, 58.3%. Children's gender and comorbidities were significantly related to children's nutritional status.
