Development of Stakeholder Network Participation Model for Drug Rehabilitation under CBTx Project in Dinjee Sub-district, Kham Muang District, Kalasin Province

Abstract

              This study aimed to: (1) examine the current situation of stakeholder network participation in drug rehabilitation under the CBTx project in Dinji Sub-district; (2) develop a stakeholder network participation model; and (3) evaluate the effectiveness of the developed model. The research employed a participatory action research methodology, conducted over three cycles, with a sample of 50 participants comprising healthcare personnel, community leaders, village health volunteers, staff from local administrative organizations, police officers, teachers, and religious leaders. The research instruments included semi-structured interviews, participation assessment questionnaires, focus group discussion guidelines, and operational performance evaluation forms. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics and paired t-tests for quantitative data, as well as content analysis for qualitative data.

            The research findings revealed that stakeholder network participation before development was at a moderate level (2.95±0.70), with monitoring and evaluation having the lowest scores (2.48±0.81). The study developed the DINJEE Model, consisting of six interconnected components in a continuous cycle: Direction (shared direction), Integration (integration), Network Committee (network committee), Joint Activities (joint activities), Empowerment (empowerment), and Evaluation & Exchange (evaluation and exchange). After implementing the DINJEE Model, statistically significant improvements were observed in all aspects (p<.001), with overall participation scores increasing to 4.18±0.54. Meeting attendance increased by 43.8%, patient follow-up increased by 38.2%, relapse rates decreased by 53.1%, and a "community mentoring system" innovation emerged. Stakeholder networks expressed high satisfaction with the model (4.28±0.62). The DINJEE Model proved effective in enhancing stakeholder network participation and addressing key challenges in CBTx implementation. Recommendations include adapting the model to local contexts, integrating it with national CBTx policies, and conducting long-term effectiveness studies.
