THE DEVELOPMENT PARTICIPATIVE OF STAKEHOLDERS TO ENHANCE ROAD SAFETY IN COMMUNITY AT KHUM MAD SUB-DISTRICT, SUM SOONG DISTRICT, KHON KAEN PROVINCE

Abstract

Participatory Action Research to study the development participative of stakeholders to enhance road safety in community at Khum Mad Sub-district, Sum Soong District, Khon Kaen Province. This is a combination of cooperation from stakeholders to jointly solve problems. And problem analysis Plan a solution Take action Observe and follow up and evaluate As well as reflecting the results to improve, At the same time, five tools were used to provide a more holistic view and solution to road accidents. The sample group were stakeholders and main target groups.

Results, Stakeholders recognize the importance of their role in solving road accidents in the community more. with there are 7 models for enhancing road safety in Khum Mad Sub-district community, which are (1) the construction of the Khum Mad Sub-district Health Statute (2) Community leaders publicize campaign to reduce accidents   (3) place publicity signs for safe driving campaigns (4) youth leadership training for safe driving (5) training for unrestrained gentlemen students, open schools, open garages     (6) Funeral, merit-free ceremony and (7) tree cutting, landscape improvement. After the workshop for safe driving Youth leaders have knowledge of safe driving. Is in the high level. Have safe driving behavior was at a good level. Polite students there are improvements, fixes, motorcycles back to their original condition, all vehicles. There are 10 alcohol-free funeral projects. And there are no road accidents at risk points that have been corrected.

Community outreach is a key factor. both in terms of spatial information and community cooperation This helps the operation in line with real problems and needs.    A variety of techniques may be used depending on the context of the area.
