Abstract
This cross-sectional descriptive study aimed to investigate and compare financial performance results among the hospitals affiliated with the Samut Songkhram Provincial Public Health Office from fiscal year 2021 to 2023, using secondary data from the results of the Performance Assessment (TPS) of the Division of Economics and Health Security, as well as from the Ministry of Public Health. The sample group of this study were purposive sampling as 3 hospitals with the instrument of Total Performance Score (TPS) and the descriptive analysis including frequency percentage mean maximum and minimum.
The results showed that the financial performance of each hospital: 1) Somdech Phra Phuttha Lertla Hospital had increased in 2022, but it decreased in 2023 with total scores of 8, 9.5, and 8 points, 2) Ampawa Hospital which increased in 2022 but decreased in 2023 with the total scores as 6.5, 8.5 and 8 points, and Naphalai hospital had constantly decreasing trend with the total scores as 10.5, 9.5 and 8 points, respectively.
In the classification of the process indicator, it was found that Amphawa Hospital had an increasing trend between 2021 to 2023 with scores of 2.5, 3.5, and 5 points and Somdech Phra Phuttha Lertla Hospital had an increasing trend in 2022, but it decreased in 2023 with scores of 5, 6.5, and 6 points. On the other hand, Napalai Hospital had decreased evaluating results in 2022, but it increased in 2023 with scores of 7.5, 4.5, and 5.5 points. Performance indicators found that all hospitals had evaluation results that tended to decrease. If the 20 criteria are analyzed separately, it will be found that the hospital passed the evaluation criteria with an average of 53.3, 58.3, and 30, respectively.
