Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Plagiarism Policy
VCHPK Health and Public Health Sciences Journal has a CopyCatch system for plagiarism detection. All manuscripts submitted for publication will be checked for plagiarism within 24 hours. If the Editor-in-Chief, Editors, Reviewers, etc. detect plagiarism at any stage of the article, before or after the peer review and acceptance process, in that case, we will inform the author and ask him to rewrite the article or cite the source of the plagiarized content. If the content is more than 15% plagiarized, the article may be proposed for rewriting or rejected and the author will be notified.

Guidelines for Manuscript Preparation

This document outlines the necessary guidelines for preparing your manuscript.

Vachira Phuket Journal of Health and Public Health Science is an academic journal with national academic journal standards. It is published to encourage medical personnel, academics, researchers, students, and interested persons to study, research, and publish academic works, as well as to be a place for exchanging academic opinions. Articles to be considered for publication in Vachira Phuket Journal of Health and Public Health Science must never have been published in any other journals before and must not be under consideration for publication in any journals. They must also be reviewed by independent assessors (Peer Reviewers) for the journal to have international quality and be able to be referenced. Preparing manuscripts to be published should follow the following guidelines:


Scope of article publication

Vachira Phuket Journal of Health and Public Health Science is a journal in the field of science and public health, covering the following disciplines: medical science, nursing, applied science, health behavior, occupational and environmental health, toxicology, community public health, dentistry, public health pharmacy, and medical social sciences.


Manuscript preparation

Language: Thai or English Use of the Thai language should adhere to the principles of using terminology and names according to the principles of the Royal Institute. Avoid using English in the text, except when necessary. Write Thai words followed by parentheses. English language should be in lowercase except for proper names, which must begin with a capital letter. Articles in English should be checked for accuracy before submitting the manuscript.

Printing: Print using Microsoft Word. The presenter must print and submit the manuscript in the file format of ".doc" or ".docx" (MS Word) only. Font format TH SarabunPSK, set the page size to B5 (18.2 cm x 7 cm). Set the page size for printing to be 1 inch (2.5 cm) away from the edge of the paper on each side. Set one column for every article.

Number of pages Academic articles, review articles, research articles, and book reviews should not exceed 15 pages.

Article Evaluation Policy

All research articles and articles published in the Vachira Phuket Journal of Health and Public Health Science will be screened by a panel of experts with relevant expertise. The screening process will be double-blinded, with at least two out of three experts assessing the articles. The selection of experts is essential to the publication process. It will consider several factors, including expertise, reputation, specific recommendations, conflicts of interest, past work, speed, thoroughness, reasonable judgment, and friendliness. The evaluation process should not involve direct contact between the authors and the reviewers, and the editors will act as the mediator for communication.


Peer Review Process

The process for reviewing articles for publication in the Vachira Phuket Journal of Health and Public Health Science consists of five steps, as follows:

1. Preliminary Review by the Editorial Board (1 week):

Submitted articles will be reviewed for completeness by the Editorial Board as follows:

Language usage

Plagiography (no more than 15%)
Adequacy and reliability of references
Reference format
Duplicity
If the article does not follow the format specified by the journal or has a higher rate of duplication than specified by the journal, the editorial team will not accept the article into the review process and will inform the authors.

2. Evaluation of correctness and appropriateness by qualified persons (1-2 weeks):

For articles that have passed the first step of review, the editorial team will consider selecting at least 2 to 3 qualified persons to review the article in a double-blind format before proceeding to contact and send the article to qualified persons. The evaluation levels from qualified persons will consist of:

2.1 Acceptable for publication (Accept)

2.2 Acceptable for publication with minor revision (Accept with minor revision)

2.3 Acceptable for publication with major revision (Accept with major revision)

2.4 Not suitable for publication (Reject)

3. Evaluation results from qualified persons (1 week):

When the editorial team receives the complete evaluation results from qualified persons, they will consider and summarize the results again. The articles that will be published Must receive Accept or Accept with minor revision. For articles that receive Acceptance with major revision, the editor will make the final decision. Articles that receive Reject will not be approved for publication in the Interdisciplinary Academic and Research Journal.

4. Revision (1-3 weeks):

For articles that are approved for publication, the editorial team will notify the author to revise according to the recommendations of the qualified persons and additional comments from the editorial team (if any). The author must revise completely, explain the revision, and send the revised article and the document explaining the revision back to the editorial team within the specified time.

5. Review of the revised article (1 week):

When the editorial team receives the revised article, they will review the correctness again. If the article has been completely revised, they will approve the publication and enter the artwork process.


Manuscript Structure for Research Articles

A research article should be systematically organized in accordance with academic standards to ensure clarity, completeness, and scholarly rigor. The manuscript should include the following components:

1. Title
The title should be concise, clear, and accurately reflect the core content of the research. Abbreviations should be avoided. The title must be provided in both Thai and English.

2. Author(s)
The names of all authors must be provided in both Thai and English, along with their institutional affiliations. The e-mail address of the corresponding author must be clearly indicated for editorial communication. In cases of multiple authors, complete details for all authors must be provided.

3. Abstract
The abstract must be written in both Thai and English. It should succinctly summarize the essential aspects of the research, including the background, research objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusions. The abstract should not exceed 250 words or approximately 15 lines, and non-standard abbreviations should be avoided.

4. Keywords
Keywords must be provided in both Thai and English and placed at the end of each abstract. A maximum of five keywords is allowed, and they should reflect the main topics of the study.

5. Introduction
This section should present the background and significance of the research problem, a review of relevant theories and literature, identification of knowledge gaps, and a clear statement of the research objectives.

6. Methodology
This section should describe the research design, population and sample, research instruments, data collection procedures, and data analysis methods. The description should be sufficiently detailed to ensure the validity and reliability of the study can be evaluated.

7. Results
The research findings should be presented clearly in accordance with the research objectives. Tables, charts, or figures may be used where appropriate. Interpretation should be avoided in this section.

8. Discussion
This section should interpret and explain the findings in relation to the research objectives, relevant theories, and previous studies. It should also discuss the significance, implications, and any inconsistencies with prior research.

9. Conclusion and Recommendations
This section should summarize the key findings in alignment with the research objectives and provide recommendations for practical application and future research.

10. References
All references must be derived from credible and officially published academic sources. The journal requires references to be formatted according to the APA 7th edition (American Psychological Association, 7th ed.) guidelines.

11. Tables, Charts, Figures, and Illustrations
All tables, charts, figures, and other illustrative materials must be clearly numbered and titled. They should be presented consistently in either Thai or English and must correspond appropriately with the content of the manuscript.

The abstract should be presented in a coherent manner, with a maximum length of 250 words or approximately 15 lines. Non-standard abbreviations should be avoided.

4. Keywords
Keywords must be provided in both Thai and English and placed at the end of each abstract. A maximum of five keywords is allowed.

5. Introduction
This section should present the background and significance of the academic issue, including a review of relevant concepts or scholarly debates. It should also explain the rationale and necessity of the study and clearly state the objectives of the article.

6. Content
This is the main body of the article, presenting analysis, explanation, or synthesis of knowledge based on academic principles. The content may be divided into subsections as appropriate to enhance clarity and organization.

7. Conclusion
This section should succinctly summarize the key points of the article, reflect the outcomes of the analysis, and may provide recommendations or directions for future study or research.

8. References
All references must be derived from officially published and academically recognized sources. References must be formatted in accordance with the APA 7th edition (American Psychological Association, 7th ed.) guidelines.

9. Tables, Charts, Figures, and Illustrations
