PROMOTING LEARNING AND LEARNING SUPPORT MECHANISMS FOR OUT-OF-SCHOOL MUSLIM CHILDREN IN THAILAND

Abstract

there are five major out-of-school Muslim children’s problems which relate to poverty, safety, time, personal data accessibility and languages. To resolve the problems, learning support mechanisms for out-of-school Muslim children should be created and promoted by searching for out-of-school Muslim children and teachers in each area, developing teachers to design the learning process and using professional learning community, managing learning in the community, evaluating learning, and reflecting lessons learned on their jobs. In addition, 3 key developing mechanisms of out-of-school Muslim children development are associated with searching for children, helping, and developing children and referral system. Moreover, developing mechanisms for out-of-school teachers should also be generated by identifying the standard set of competencies for out-of-school teacher, evaluating competencies, and creating individual development plan, creating activities to support lifelong learning, promoting teachers’ morale and quality of life, strengthening teachers’ network.
